Nominations are now open for the prestigious Middle East Landscape Awards 2024, which will celebrate excellence and innovation in landscape design, sustainability and accessibility across the region.
This year, we have 3 distinct categories, recognising outstanding contributions to Sustainability, Accessibility, Urban Design, Parks and Recreation, Hospitality and Retail, Tourism, Urban Landscape Art, and Landmark Legacy.
These awards aim to honor the visionaries, designers, and organizations that have made significant strides in creating sustainable landscapes, enhancing urban environments, and preserving our natural heritage. We invite individuals, companies, municipalities, and institutions to showcase their exceptional projects and initiatives that have positively impacted the Middle East's landscape.
CATEGORY 1 - PROJECT
There is NO ENTRY FEE
to enter the Landscape Middle East Awards 2024
Deadline for Submission Aug 5th 2024
UNBUILT PROJECT
This award is limited to designs for projects that have yet to be completed that demonstrate creative landscape design, reflecting innovation as well as practical considerations for sustainability and accessibility.
URBAN DESIGN
We will recognise projects that exemplify exceptional urban design principles and address the challenges of urban environments, demonstrating outstanding design and planning.
Urban spaces including plazas, streetscapes, and waterfronts that inspire social interaction, improve today’s recreational experience and promote community connection and interaction.
PARKS & RECREATION
Recognising outstanding achievements in the design of parks and recreational development, including indoor projects.
We will consider the management of park and recreational developments that transform public spaces into vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable environments to enhance the quality of life, providing opportunities for leisure, physical activity, and social interaction.
STUDENT DESIGN
Limited to students only for creative landscape design that reflects innovation as well as practical consideration for sustainability, accessibility, regeneration, master planning, urban art, parks and recreation and other examples of innovative landscape architecture.
REGENERATION & MASTER PLANNING
This award celebrates visionary designs harmoniously integrating natural elements, public spaces, and architectural brilliance to shape transformative environments with consideration to regeneration and master planning.
This category will recognise exceptional projects that have established a lasting impact on the landscaped urban realm.
LANDSCAPE ART &
LANDSCAPE LEGACY
Landscape Art & Landscape Legacy brings another dimension to the enhancement of city living. This award category identifies the best artistic installations and interventions in the region's urban and natural landscape.
Include sculptures, murals, interactive artworks, or temporary installations that create a dialogue between art, architecture, and the surrounding landscape.

CATEGORY 2 - ORGANIZATION
DISTINGUISHED ORGANIZATION
Educational Intitutions and Government Enties.
Celebrating organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to the landscape industry, promoting sustainability, accessibility, support for regeneration, with outstanding landscape design. Educational institutions that have nurtured the talents of future landscape professionals. These universities have offered comprehensive programs, fostered research, and encouraged innovation, preparing students to address landscape design and sustainability challenges and opportunities.
DISTINGUISHED
DEVELOPER
The Developer award acknowledges developers who have championed sustainable landscape projects that prioritise environmental preservation, community well-being, and long-term ecological balance. Their dedication to sustainable development has set a positive example for others within the industry.
CATEGORY 3 - NOMINATIONS
PROMINENT PROFESSIONAL
This award honours outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the landscape industry, recognizing professionals who have demonstrated exceptional expertise, leadership, and a deep commitment to sustainability, making a lasting impact on the field. The Landscape Prominent Professional Award celebrates individuals who have shown remarkable proficiency in project design, displaying a keen understanding of aesthetics, functionality, and the environment's unique characteristics.
RISING STAR
Rising Stars category recognises emerging professionals who have shown extraordinary promise and potential within the landscape industry. These individuals have already begun to make their mark, displaying remarkable talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft. They represent the future of the landscape profession and serve as an inspiration to their peers.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT
The Lifetime Achievement Award honours individuals who have dedicated their entire careers to the pursuit of leadership, management, design, and sustainability within the landscape industry. This award recognises exceptional professionals who have made profound and lasting contributions, leaving an indelible mark on the field.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
The Academic Excellence Award seeks to honour exceptional individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to educating the next generation of landscape architects, leaving an indelible mark on the profession through their innovative teaching methods, research, and scholarly works. These are the leaders who have gone beyond traditional boundaries to inspire, mentor, and pave the way for future innovations in landscape architecture education.
